What Is Operation Doom Sesh?

Every year, 710 (Oil Day) brings out the best in the concentrate community, and this year’s event—Operation Doom Sesh—was no exception. Hosted by the iconic Astor Club at SOB’s in New York City, the night was a flavorful tribute to the legendary MF DOOM, featuring live jazz, deep dabs, and villainous visuals that lit up the sesh.

First Impressions: ✨ Fast Check-In & Thoughtful Gifting

From the moment I arrived, the vibe was smooth. The check-in process? Lightning fast. No long lines, no confusion—just a warm welcome and immediate access to the night’s festivities.

Upon entry, we received a gift bag that set the tone:

  • A reusable insulated tote bag (great for the environment and brand loyalty)

  • Four jars of premium rosin, including:

    • Blue Lobster by Maine Trees & washed by Mega Raw Melts (exclusive to Astor Club)

    • Drip Burger (Strawguava x Double Burger) by Riverside Greenery

    • Crunch Berries by Superlative Solventless

    • Hazelnut Cream by Coldroom Drip

Each bag was slightly different, sparking conversation and comparison between tables all night long. No two seshers had the same lineup, which made the experience feel curated and personal.

We were also gifted:

  • An Operation Doom Sesh dab mat (collab with Moodmats)

  • A Lazy Susan dab tool

  • A Toro Glass sticker + coupon code

💬 “Not all bags were the same…and that’s what made it so fun.”

Vibes & Venue: Nachos, Clean Air, and Classic NYC Energy

Unlike most events at SOB’s, this sesh had tables for everyone—plenty of space to relax, connect, and dab without feeling crammed. To top it off, Astor Club gifted each table a plate of nachos, a classy touch considering you usually have to pay for food there. It was a welcome surprise that elevated the hospitality.

The air? Perfectly filtered.

Cloudy enough to know you were at a real sesh, but never overwhelming.

The service? Top tier.

There was always water or a drink within reach.

Entertainment: 🎶 The Perfect Sonic Pairing

Music was a huge part of what made this night unforgettable. Between the visuals and the live soundscape, it was a true tribute to DOOM and the culture he represents.

Here’s the lineup that kept the sesh flowing:

🎤 Hosted by: Lord Sear + Kurious Jorge

🎧 DJ Sets by: J-Rocc of the World Famous Beat Junkies

🎷 Live Jazz: Christopher McBride and the Whole Proof (with special guest Jeffrey Miller)

🎥 Custom visuals by: Goldwatch — a fitting tribute that wrapped the entire night in DOOM energy.

Final Verdict: 🎫 Was the $250 Ticket Worth It?

Absolutely.

This was more than a party. It was a cultural homage, a legacy celebration, and a community experience.

  • 🔥 4 jars of high-end rosin

  • 🧊 Premium swag (tote, dab mat, dab tool)

  • 🍴 Complimentary food

  • 🎷 Live jazz & hip-hop icons

  • 🗽 A venue filled with history and heart

  • 💨 An inclusive space for new and seasoned dabbers alike

Queenee Approved. This event honored the plant, the pioneers, and the power of community in one unforgettable night.
