710: The Day of Oil – A Love Letter to Concentrates & Community

If 420 is for the flower heads, then 710 is our day—the one for the dabbers, the concentrate lovers, the solventless soldiers, the rosin rebels. It’s a day to honor the beauty and medicinal power of oil in all its forms: live rosin, sauce, diamonds, hash, wax, and beyond.

What is 710?

710, when flipped upside down, spells “OIL”—and just like 420, it’s become a cultural holiday in the cannabis community. The term started gaining traction around 2011 and has grown into a national (and now global) celebration of cannabis concentrates. Whether you’re dropping a dab, puffing a rosin vape, or rolling up infused joints, 710 is for those who elevate their healing and recreational experience with the power of oil.

My First 710: A Moment That Changed Me

My first 710 was back in 2022 at Astor Club in New York City—and it’s a day I’ll never forget. I want to give a heartfelt thanks to Kym B from Tribe Tokes, Aliiice from WookSauce Winery & Girls in Green, for making that day extra special. It was more than just an event; it was a coming home. I was surrounded by people who understood what it meant to choose dabs every day—not just for fun, but for survival.

Why 710 Matters to Me

710 isn’t just about taking a fat glob—it’s about honoring concentrates as medicine. As someone living with stage 4 endometriosis and fibromyalgia, concentrates have saved my life. They helped me come off 16 pharmaceutical medications, including opioids. They gave me back control over my body, my health, and my voice.

Each year since, I’ve spent 710 with my community—celebrating healing, sharing information, dabbing together, and destigmatizing this sacred plant. We honor the growers, extractors, budtenders, and caregivers who make this healing possible.

Building a Community Around the Dab

710 is more than a holiday. It’s an opportunity to educate, celebrate, and empower. Every dab taken is an act of resistance and relief. Every conversation about terpenes and temperature is a step toward normalization. Every 710 spent in community reminds me that I’m not alone on this path.

I’m proud to continue this work through House of Queenee—teaching dab safety, reviewing tools and terps, and creating safe spaces for people to explore concentrates with confidence.

To Many More 710s to Come…

I look forward to all the 710s still ahead—the big seshes, the quiet solo globs, the joyful noise of a torch and a slurp. Whether you’re new to dabbing or a seasoned head, 710 is our time to shine.

Thank you to every one of you
